Advanced Plastics of Houston, Inc. began as one man's dream. Lee Roy Meadows had the ingenuity and ambition to start his own business over 37 years ago. Fresh out of the Navy, Lee Roy began learning various skills at different companies. He then, in 1973, partnered with Fred Yagi to start a small extrusion company. He built up a strong customer base in the first years and soon bought out his partner in 1982 and moved his company to 17th street in the Heights area of Houston, Texas. An 18 year span in the Heights saw Lee Roy's company grow by adding machines and customer base. In 2000 he then moved his extrusion plant out to the suburbs near The Woodlands, Texas.
Lee Roy, his family, and his employees' have over the years provided good quality products, stabile pricing, and customer oriented product manufacturing. He has sold and is selling his products to many fortune 100 companies right down to the small "mom and pop shops". Companies like R H Tamlyn & Sons, Mckesson Drug Company, Certainteed Products, and the Store Decor company are the right sort of customers that he has and is helping to get quality products to the market place. He will either make your product, tell you how you could make it, or he will certainly tell you where you can get it.
Currently Lee Roy's son Larry is managing the plant and is following in his foot steps in the quest of learning and trying to provide the best possible products. Leann, Lee Roy's daughter is the general manager, inside salesman, and controller.
Advanced Plastics of Houston, Inc. has over 1300 different shapes with custom tool and die facilities on site. All products are made from Vinyl or Polyvinyl Chloride or more commonly known as PVC. APHI continues to be highly competitive in its industry and is still family owned and operated. APHI takes pride in its quality products, produced proudly right here in the 'good ole' USA.
